The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) mourns the tragic loss of journalist Muawiya Abdel Razek, who was killed in cold blood on Wednesday by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its allied extremist militias linked to the former regime in Al-Doroshab, north of Bahri, in Khartoum State.
According to available information, members of a SAF special operation assassinated Razek and three others at their home in Al-Doroshab, Station 17. This incident occurred near a SAF weapons and ammunition depot in Al-Doroshab, an area under the control of the SAF and its terrorist patrons from the former regime.
The killing of Razek is a crime against humanity. This atrocity is the direct responsibility of the extremist forces within and behind the hijacked SAF leadership, which controls the area around the depot in Al-Doroshab. They are attempting to evade accountability by falsely accusing the RSF of this crime.
We call on union associations, humanitarian organizations, and the media to investigate these events. Our doors are open for communication and verification of information and data.
We express our condolences to the family of Razek and Sudanese journalists. We urge organizations concerned with freedom of opinion and expression to combat organized terrorist operations, intimidation, and the illegal detention of journalists by the SAF and its allied extremist brigades. We assure our people that we are determined to end this terrorist gang once and for all and build a state of freedom, peace, and justice.
